Car Show

Well I thought I was just going to the church to clean up and then coming home to rest on a Saturday. It ended up a very busy but fun day. My friend Adam talked Lala and I into going to a bike swap downtown. While we were driving down there we past a boat car. Thought that was kind of weird. After the bike swap we decided we wanted something to eat, but it was to early for lunch so we drove around downtown and ended up at the Houston Garden Park. Here are a few pictures.

We then went and tried greek food for the first time at Adam's favorite restaurant. On the way home we saw a bunch of people walking around carring lawn chairs so we stopped and asked where they were going. Turns out it was the Car Art parade. So we took another detour before going home and stopped to watch the parade. Here a few of my favorites.

Can you tell how impressed he is with the turd sandwhich car? He really wants to try it.

This car was one of my favorites! With two people stearing the car at the same time it looked like it was just gliding sideways across the street. It was pretty cool.

Adam and Lala watching the parade. He's not quite as hungry after trying the sandwhich.

Very creative Box Car. There were several Elementary schools that had joined in the decorating.
Who knew there was so much to do around Houston!
