International Festival

Plans foiled again, but still tons of fun. Every year Houston host an International Festival. This year the featured country was Ireland. I bought tickets a month in advance and planned all my homework around taking this saturday off. My luck it decideds to rain and thunder all day. The Burnham sisters, Lisa and I all decided to give it ago anyways, because they hadn't cancelled the event. We got drenched, which is why you don't see any pictures of us.

The Castle had all sorts of information on Ireland in it and some pictures that you could see from the sidewalk. However we did not stomp though the puddles in the grass to go look at it. I thought was pretty cool looking.

The sky looked pretty cool to me.

Yes that's Hail you see!

We gave up on the rain and went to the Aquarium for lunch. This is the big fish tank we sat in front off. A little creepy those fish sat and stared most of the time we were eating lunch. It was a lot of fun. As we drove home the roads were flooded and you couldn't drive on the feeder roads. I was amazed at how much rain there has been.

Bottled Chicken

Since I'm in grad. school spring break offered little fun to me. Mostly just homework , which was a 20 page lit. review. Really not all that fun. However, I did take one day off of homework for some fun with my mom. We bottled 18 jars of chicken and made several containers of strawberry jam. Here is all of our hard work. I'm ready for hurricane season now.
