A few weeks earlier...ok maybe a month earlier I had either jammed my two fingers on my left hand really good, or I broke them. We're not sure which since I don't believe in doctors. So I couldn't do a whole lot of digging, but it was still fun to help out.
It was also a great opportunity to go with him as he reported on his mission. Elder Call had been up now for almost 48 hours straight. It would be hard enough to speak clearly after that, but trying to talk in English again made it even more difficult. However he did a marvelous job and I loved hearing him bear his testimony in Spanish. He's a great example.
Lance emailed us several times before he came home and told us were were not allowed to surprise him at the airport. It took us awhile to figure out why he was so worried about this. One day mom was putting together a home video. On it was Jason coming home from his mission. We had all forgotten that I had flown home from Washington DC, but did not tell Jason I was coming. So we kept our promise and didn't surprise him at the airport. The Thursday after he came home Jason was able to stop off in Houston for the night while coming back from a business trip. I went to the airport to pick Jason up. Lance got a really big surprise when he walked into the kitchen and Jason snuck up behind him.
Julie jumped off her bike for the perfect catch to win the game. Should have seen her flying through the air.
It really was the perfect day for a ride!
I teach special education at an elementary school here in Humble.
It's illegal for me to post pictures of my students and all the fun activities we
do, but there is nothing about posting pictures of the teachers.
In April we took all our special education classes to Old McDonald's farm.
The kids loved and it was nice for us to be out of the classroom for a day.
